About the Journal
Al-Majmu’: Journal of Interdisciplinary Islamic Studies is an international, open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal published twice a year (June and December) by Mitra Edukasi Sejahtera, Indonesia. It publishes original research in English and Arabic that examines Islam and Muslim societies through interdisciplinary lenses—textual, historical, legal, educational, and social-scientific—with particular attention to Southeast Asia and its connections with the wider Muslim world. The journal charges an article processing charge (APC) per accepted article, with no submission fee, and publishes under a CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
Al-Majmu’ follows the Core Practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Every submission is screened for similarity and reviewed by at least two independent reviewers under a double-blind process. See Focus and Scope, Peer Review Process, and Publication Ethics.
