Peer Review Process

Every manuscript is first screened by the editors for fit with the journal’s scope, completeness, anonymisation, and similarity. Manuscripts that pass are sent to at least two reviewers under a double-blind process: one subject specialist and one methodologist. Decisions are: accept, minor revision, major revision, or decline. The first decision is normally made within 6 weeks. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision, taking the reviewers’ reports into account. Reviewers must declare conflicts of interest and must not upload manuscripts to generative AI services.
